Servcorp is one of the world’s leading serviced office and virtual office providers. Headquartered in Australia, it has a presence in 20 countries. Japan is a significant market for the company, with 30 premium locations in major cities.

Paradigm has been Servcorp’s retained agency for more than a decade, supporting the company’s crucial commercial online activity for its locations around the world.

Getting our foot in the serviced office door

Servcorp’s website, which is a key source of signups and sales, had previously been managed by another firm. But anytime a Servcorp team asked for changes be made to the site, this provider responded very slowly. It was frustrating — and it was hurting business.

Servcorp asked Paradigm to handle website-related requests for the Japan business on a trial basis, and the Japan website was decoupled from the global site to allow us to do this. Servcorp teams around the country were incredibly impressed by how rapidly we responded to their requests, which helped to drive sales for this fast-growing market.

The reports back to head office were so positive that the decision was made to give Paradigm responsibility for managing Servcorp’s global web infrastructure.

Supporting the global business

After we took on the job, we got to work right away. We recommended and helped to implement more robust CDN solutions using Varnish cache servers spread around the globe, as well as Akamai for DNS and media caching (which was cutting edge at the time).

Today, we support Servcorp’s global staff from the backend of the Umbraco CMS with whatever website-related work they need us to do. This includes SEO optimizations, IT consulting, and updates to keep on top of the latest marketing and IT developments. 

Managing Servcorp’s site is a huge responsibility — and we are very proud to have been entrusted with it.
