In 2019, Wix and NTT TownPage formed a strategic partnership to help bring more businesses — especially SMEs — online in Japan through sophisticated website templates designed for the unique needs of the market here. To deliver this ambitious project, they evaluated more than 80 Japanese agencies and, ultimately, Paradigm was judged to be their ideal digital creative agency partner.
At the kickoff meeting for the project, Paradigm made a presentation to the WIX and NTT TownPage teams that gave them insights into the current state of web design in Japan, emerging trends, and the direction it may be headed in.
With design of the templates led by Paradigm’s Director of UI/UX Victor Chia and strategy by IT Project Manager Takahiro Miyagami, their teams at Paradigm worked in close collaboration with WIX and NTT TownPage to deliver the project within a demanding timeframe.
In order to design each template effectively, Paradigm was required to perform extensive, in-depth research on a number of different market segments. This, along with the teams’ vast experience in Japanese user-interface patterns and behaviors, were key factors in allowing us to arrive at an excellent outcome.
