ANA InterContinental® Beppu Resort & Spa – content creation and website build

Leading global hospitality group IHG worked with Paradigm to create key messaging and to design and develop a website for its ambitious new resort in Oita prefecture, ANA InterContinental Beppu Resort & Spa.

Opening on August 1st, the resort will offer an unprecedented level of luxury and sophistication to guests visiting this unique part of Japan.

To put together a compelling story, the creative team flew to Kyushu in December 2018 and undertook a detailed site visit. We then began the process of producing core positioning statements — in four languages: English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. Next, we got to work on writing the content for the entire website and began early site architecture planning and design.

One point to note is that this new website is one of the first in the world that needed to reflect InterContinental Hotel’s new brand guidelines. We ensured that color, typography, patterns, etc. were correctly applied throughout the site.

It was critical that the website went live on April 1st, with all booking system integrations working and the site fully tested. We delivered on that.

Paradigm is now IHG’s digital agency vendor of choice in Japan and we are currently working with the IHG team on a number of exciting upcoming projects.
